The turf experts at Sports Construction Group (SCG) have launched a synthetic turf deep cleaning and maintenance program that can extend the life of synthetic turf systems and ensure that they perform at optimal levels.
“We introduced this program because our clients were asking for it,” said President Paul Franks. “Managing a deep cleaning and maintenance program is challenging for them because it requires that they have the available time, properly trained staff and expensive equipment.”
The SCG Deep Cleaning & Maintenance Program includes deep cleaning of infill and removal of surface debris, power grooming of the synthetic turf, and checking all inlays, seams, edge attachments, infill level and overall field conditions.
Expensive problems can arise from synthetic fields that are improperly cleaned and maintained. Debris can work its way deep into the infill, which can lead to drainage issues. Plus, the infill can become compacted and reduce a field’s performance while increasing the risk of injuries. Normal grooming and upkeep are a must to avoid these issues.
Adding a deep cleaning and turf maintenance program enhances regular maintenance efforts. Such a program can extend the lifespan of an entire synthetic turf system and make certain that it continues to operate at its peak for the athletes utilizing it.
