VisitEngland's chief executive officer James Berresford has claimed that Manchester was a peerless destination of business tourism in the United Kingdom.
The local newspaper 'Manchester Evening News' that had reported the news quoted Berresford as saying to the tourism chiefs across the United Kingdom that there was seldom another place in the country that could offer the business visitors, what the northwest city could.
Incidentally, officials from across the United Kingdom had met in Manchester in order to discuss the fresh strategy behind VisitEngland, the national tourist board. VisitEngland is the official website for tourism in the United Kingdom.
Manchester was described by Berresford as truly cosmopolitan besides praising that it was in a perfect position to contend with its international neighbours. He added the remark that the business tourism scopes offered by the city was unrivalled in Britain and the competition has transcended to international level.
Meanwhile, the newspaper further reported that the next Manchester International Festival, according to its organisers, could compete with Edinburgh Festival, the world-famous event.
