In light of the devastating earthquake in Port-a-Prince, Haiti, NBI Live in association with Mychal Thomas, a former Los Angeles Lakers and current sportscaster for the LA Lakers, as well as Sports Ambassador for his native Bahamas along with its music counterparts have put together a help “Haiti Relief Fund Concert Tour” in which the net proceeds will be presented to the American Red Cross. The tour will include performances by major recording artist with special celebrity guests on hand to support this relief fund effort. One of the major events will take place in Los Angeles, CA at the University of Southern California, Galen Center Arena on Friday, March 19, 2010. Major performing artists will be announced within the next upcoming weeks. It is projected that this event will raise over $500,000.00 (Five Hundred Thousand Dollars) to support the American Red Cross on behalf of those in need in Haiti. On February 13, 2010, in Atlanta, Ga., NBI Live will kick off its “Help Haiti Relief Fund Concert Tour” at the Hilton Hotel located in downtown Atlanta, Ga., in the Grand Ballroom. The Tour will travel through several major cities which include Miami, Fl., Baltimore, MD., New York City, and Los Angeles, CA. We are in the planning stages of adding several other cities to this tour. We will continue to update our website at nbilive.com once we have confirmed the dates and locations. At this time NBI is committed to exerting all of its resources to rally music executives in the industry in support of the Haiti relief fund efforts and the American Red Cross. Haiti is one of the poorest countries on the western hemisphere and has now suffered another devastating tragedy with the earthquake that occurred in January 2010. The people of Haiti need food, water and clothing as well as help in rebuilding their infrastructure. NBI Live along with its host of celebrities will lead in the pioneering efforts to aid Haiti in one of their greatest atrocities.
