Petals Network will market to their florist’s customers on their behalf. Customers at their local Petals florist will have the opportunity to sign up to an email reminder service. “We see the beneficiaries of this service two-fold. Customers will have an easy way to be reminded for special dates. While our florists now have a unique marketing opportunity usually not available to small businesses” said Samantha Hammond, Operations Manager at Petals Network. Customers will receive a personalised reminder sent straight to their inbox. This reminder will have their local florist’s name, phone number and link for the florist’s Petals webpage.
“We’re also introducing a new concept, the Point-of-Sale cards. Florists can give these cards to customers. Customers can fill out their details and what dates they want to be reminded of on the card. They can give it to their florist to register them or they can take the card home on register online themselves” continued Samantha. The POS cards will be available to all Petals participating florists. “We want this service to be easy and hassle free for both our florists and their customers” Samantha said.
There are five simple ways a florist can add customer reminders. Florists can add customer reminders on internet and fax order forms, online or by bulk fax. Their customers will be able to register online themselves. Petals Forget Me Nots is designed so any member florist can use it. “We also realise how important people’s privacy is so we have a guarantee that we won’t sell, trade or rent personal information. This is consistent with our Petals Privacy Policy. Also, customers can unsubscribe at any time they want” Samantha went on to say.
It is just the beginning for Petals Forget Me Nots with more ideas in the woodworks. “It’s hoped in the future we can expand this service further to SMS reminders and get our florists in Great Britain on board as well” Samantha added.
