Send a Message of Unity for Haiti

(Chicago, IL/London,UK) - Bobbi O’Gilvie and Candance Patel are two twenty-something bloggers, travelers and world citizens. They live 3963 miles apart and have never met, they are united by one common factor; Haiti. After witnessing the devastating effects the earthquake had on Haiti, Bobbi and Candance struck up a conversation on Twitter. Each had made donations through texts and sent their prayers but both wanted to send a powerful message to Haiti and so, Union Makes Strength was born.

The National Motto of Haiti is “L’Union Fait La Force” which means Union Makes Strength. Even with all the money raised thus far it’s going to take an unbelievable amount of strength for Haiti to recover, which is why Bobbi and Candance created the Union Makes Strength Campaign. The idea is to give Haiti strength by sending a message of unity through video and images.

How to join Union Makes Strength:

1. Visit http://www.youtube.com/user/UnionMakesStrength and watch the short introductory video.
2. Create a video or image declaring the words; unity makes strength in any language or design you can think of.
3. Submit the video or image to unityforhaiti@gmail.com
4. Tell your friends, family and social networks to join the campaign as well.

Union Makes Strength is a living project, meaning we’ll continue to take submissions for as long as people show their support. Submission will compiled to make short videos and shared on social networks and fundraisers for Haiti. In this time of dire need, there is no you and me just unity.
