Agua Helada
Every year the residents of the Colombian city of Barranquilla participate in the world famous Carnaval packing into the streets to enjoy the tropical rhythms, dancing and the carnival activities. On January 16th almost exactly a month before the start of the processions, which begin on the 13th February the elected Queen of Carnival will officially open the festival at 8:00 PM in Barranquilla and from this point onwards the city will gradually begin to fill with tourists coming to participate in this colourful event (see http://www.inbarranquilla.com/
Agua Helada opened less than a year ago on 24th April 2009, and was immediately considered as one of the must visited nightclubs in the city and has since seen its popularity rise by both advertising and word of mouth as well as social media. The club is located in the equally recently opened shopping mall “Centro Commercial Gran Boulevard” in the North of Barranquilla. The club is built on three floors, can be accessed by glass lift and includes a mezzanine level and outdoor terrace seating. Agua Helada which opens from Thursday to Saturday has a capacity of up to 900 hundred patrons and regularly has events including live bands.
Agua Helada club is one of a growing number of nightclubs in Barranquilla that caters to the increasingly affluent population in this vibrant and cosmopolitan city located in the North of Colombia and which enjoys a tropical climate making it an excellent location to enjoy the Carnaval.
