Jack at Hooters Lewisville a Happy Day
A smile, a hug, and a genuine zest for life set the tone for today Friday. You see one awesome young man Jack Barker taught me that despite all the bad news this week. I have so much to enjoy; right here and now. Jack's story is one of courage, action, and a take no prisoners approach to just being in the present.
Today I had the extreme pleasure to meet Jack, witness his courage, and feel his total and complete focus on just being 12. I learned that his life is meant to defy odds; simply because he has so much to teach our world. For Jack there is no time like the present and today he happened to grace us with his presence at Hooters in Lewisville. Jack and his family were joined by a group of friends and now a fantastic group of community supporters.
Jack met new friends that expressed their genuine care and concern and most of all wanted to join Jack by helping him to have a nice day. The Hooters girls helped Jack, Nick and the Bigg’s brothers to really enjoy their meal and some much needed fellowship. Jack also decided that there was no time like the present to make a bold prediction; he is confident that the Cowboys are poised to win the Super bowl and he has a new found BFF Kim at Hooters. These my friends are two things that Jack is very confident about.

A good time was had by all; many new friends were met like Elizabeth, Jose, Erik Kevin, Kim, and Rick to name a few. Many thanks to all who helped, Hooter’s Management Team, and some amazing people for making today one that Jack can be proud of for a very long time. Jack also had the support of Panda Embroidery and Hooters who always get behind a great community cause. Jack's family is thrilled with the support as it helps them to just deal with all that has happened in such a short time.
