Robert Fournier and George Thomas have established a collection box in the LIVE Realty office which will be sent to Food for the Poor to aid in the country's recovery. He has been asked to collect cash donations, canned meats, fish, condensed, evaporated and powdered milk and water. This agency is immediately sending 400 containers of rice, beans, water, blankets, lumber and repairing zinc.

"CRS has permanent offices and ongoing projects in Haiti, which is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. 80% of Haitians are Catholic. Right now we are quickly mobilizing our pre-positioned emergency relief supplies including: kitchen kits, hygiene kits, mosquito nets, bedding, water containers and other lifesaving assistance. CRS has made an initial commitment of $5 million to help with immediate needs."
