Jan. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES - Full Nelson, a seven-episode web series set in the rough and tumble world of indy wrestling has just been added to the auction catalogue for Brand in Entertainment’s first of its kind Inaugural Integration Auction to be held on January 20 at Christie’s in New York City.  The invitation-only event will bring together brand representatives and media producers offering integration opportunities for services and products.  The platforms on offer include film, network television, web series, graphic novels and more.

Full Nelson is the story of an independent wrestling promoter with big dreams and little skill.   Jake Nelson (Adam Paul, Hollywood Residential) is running his Fresno wrestling promotion into the ground, he’s almost out of money and his star wrestler just dropped dead in the ring.  But when scrawny Dylan Cole shows up to avenge his father’s death, Jake finds his unlikely Great White Hope. And Fresno may never be the same.

Created by Adam Paul and Andy Bobrow, Full Nelson allowed the seasoned television comedy writers an opportunity to exercise their talents.  Paul created and starred in the Starz comedy Hollywood Residential and Bobrow has written for several hit TV comedies including Malcolm in the Middle,  The Winner,  and the upcoming Sons of Tucson.

Full Nelson is repped for brands by Space Truffles Entertainment, whose focus on organic brand placement and web series sponsorship has been a driving force in shaping how web series are funded and how advertisers can deliver their messages in new and compelling ways.

While the series features real wrestlers among its cast, it’s also attracted the talents of Carlos Bernard (24’s Tony Almeida) and Lisa Donovan (YouTube’s LisaNova).  ‘Carlos and I go way back and he was eager to do a comedy, so we wrote him the role of a sexually confused wrestler named Chachin,’ said Paul.  “Without giving anything away, I’ll just say Carlos jumped at the chance to wear silver tights.”

“The entry of Full Nelson to the Brand in Entertainment (BiE) catalogue feels appropriate,” Paul continued.  “My interest in producing content for new platforms comes from a desire to seek new modes of monetization.  I think opportunities like this are essential to exposing quality web content to major advertising players and furthering a legitimization of the web space as an entertainment destination.”
