Sarasota, FL, January 15, 2010: The annual Haiti Benefit Auction has added an addition Auction Block for people looking to help Haitian Earthquake Victims. The sale is held at the Sarasota County Fairgrounds on January 23, 2010 with an Auction preview and BBQ Fundraiser on January 22, 2010. Preview available online at www.floridahba.com
The local annual benefit auction normally generates over $120,000 for Haitian Charities, with 100% of the proceeds going to help the needy people of Haiti. New or slightly used items are typically donated from Furniture, Hardware, and Construction Companies, but this year they will open it to the public to donate items to sell at the auction.

The Sale has run every year at the Sarasota Fairgrounds for the past 13 years and is operated by the Amish and Mennonite Community. “We are Shocked by the NEWS of the EARTHQUAKE in HAITI” Detweiler Said, “… we are adding another auction block. So you can donate items… that can be auctioned off to raise additional funds for Haiti in this time of tragic loss.”
The sale is a 2 day event held on January 22 & 23, 2010 at Sarasota Fairgrounds on Fruitville Rd.
