FreeGreen is able to deliver their Custom House Plan Service in such a quick and inexpensive manner thanks to their years of experience creating free and affordable green home plans.  FreeGreen has developed extensive capabilities in the latest three dimensional design tools, and construction document library creation methods.  FreeGreen has also spent months developing a proprietary electronic communications process which helps lead customers through the design process and allows them to easily communicate and give feedback to FreeGreen Designers.  It is these technology advantages which have allowed FreeGreen to create a high quality, streamlined home design process, which can be priced at a point that anyone can afford.

The FreeGreen Custom House Plan Service begins with the completion of FreeGreen’s Custom House Plan Survey.  This survey was developed for over a year, and is based on FreeGreen’s various interactions with their 20,000 plus members.  After the survey is returned a FreeGreen designer is assigned to a customer’s project and works with that customer through multiple rounds of design iterations to develop a completely custom floor plan and elevations.  Finally, FreeGreen completes the homes Construction Documents using a combination of the latest thought in building science, and the design requirements of the customer.  The entire process can be completed in weeks saving the customer time and money in land holding costs and permitting issues.  Each customer receives their house plan in both PDF and CAD formats, and retains the right to build the home as many times as they wish.
