Follow on Google News | St. Louis Hosts the 43rd Silicon Symposium for International ChemistsThe University of Missouri-St. Louis, Division of Continuing Education is the host of this year’s international symposium, a well-established international symposium attended by scientists who research all aspects of silicon chemistry.
By: University of Missouri-St. Louis Scientists will present their research findings, communicate, and network with other chemists in the field. The scientific sessions will include plenary and invited lectures, contributed talks, and a poster presentation session. The meeting will cover all aspects of silicon chemistry research including the synthesis of organosilicon and transition-metal silicon compounds, mechanistic studies of reactive intermediates, biosilicon chemistry, solid state and silicon-based materials, silicon containing polymers, and metal-catalyzed reactions of silicon compounds. This year’s meeting is sponsored by the Dow Corning Corporation, Eugene R. Corey Memorial Fund of the Eighth International Symposium on Organosilicon Chemistry, Geleste Inc., SiVance, Silatronix Inc., Wacker Chemie AG, MEMC Electronic Materials Inc., and the St. Louis section of the American Chemical Society. “We are proud to be hosting this high profile conference in St. Louis.
