Lonely Planet specially produces the guide. For its festivals, New Orleans is listed as one of the “Recommended Destinations”

The New Orleans guide includes footage from popular restaurants like Bayona, Pascal's Manale, Galatoire’s, and Dick & Jenny’s, among many others. Additional footage was captured throughout New Orleans including Jackson Square, City Park, French Quarter, live music venues, and dozens of other day-in-the-life places that New Orleanians enjoy throughout the year.
“It was exciting to work with Lonely Planet on this project for American Express. I cannot think of a better gig than to film my favorite city for a popular guide that supports tourism and the New Orleans economy. Lonely Planet and AMEX appear to be selective about which cities they promote to their base of world travelers so I'm so happy they focused on New Orleans,” says Tim Ryan, New Digital Media Group executive producer and New Orleans resident.
