Follow on Google News | Reduced Summer Rates Released from Camp Shining StarsCamp Shining Stars, a co-ed teen weight loss camp organized by the Healthy Children’s Foundation, announces lower tuition rates for summer 2010 enrollment.
Camp Shining Stars “Where Winners LOSE!” has reduced tuition rates by $300 for both the 3 week sessions and the 6 week session due to the nation’s economic state. As a non-profit fitness camp and esteem-building camp for ages 11-18 held at the Barton College Campus in Wilson, NC, Camp Shining Stars offers air-conditioned private dormitories with two campers per room, a distinctive residence life uncommon for weight loss camps around the country. Exclusive camp life is maintained through limited enrollment at approximately 100 campers each summer so that teens can benefit from a 3 to 1 campers to staff ratio. Weight Loss Goals All campers are guaranteed to lose 7-17% of their total weight when attending the 6 week camp session. As a sign of reassurance and commitment to the measurable improvements in teen health, if a camper does not reach this goal Camp Shining Stars will refund the camper $2,000. Attending a weight loss camp or weight loss spa is a financial investment and Camp Shining Stars recognizes how difficult it is for families to afford. “Being able to guarantee weight loss goals, provide a private residence life and now offer lower rates will allow us to improve the lives of more young adults,” said Camp Director, Ira Green. # # # About Camp Shining Stars Camp Shining Stars is a non-profit, co-educational summer weight loss camp for teens hosted on the Barton College campus.
