nor dummied down. Created by a team of award-winning musicians and producers, her world music rhythms are infectious and the songs – both traditional and Daria’s originals – have memorable melodies that stay with listeners both young and old alike. And; to the delight of parents and educators, her music brings a message they really want their children to hear. Along with winning national awards for each of her 4 cd’s, Daria was also given a 2009 Parent’s Choice Award for her website as a positive and family-friendly “best pick” on the web.
With a passionate interest in music and community-building, Daria continues to sing, write and travel to unique points around the states and across the globe, from Peru to Israel to Native American Reservations in the Southwest. Says Daria: “I wrote I HAVE A DREAM because MLK was such a big influence in my life. I wanted to find a way to put the ideas and messages from that famous speech into a simple, singable form to reach even a very young listener. It’s really exciting to see that the song has taken off and been used in hundreds of locations around the country, exciting a new generation about the prospects for creating a world of peace and dignity for all. “
