Founded in 2007, Relief Beads has raised thousands of dollars, to provided life-saving relief for refugees now, supported by Koru.
By: Koru Fundraising Contributions raised by the Relief Beads fundraiser went to build the only Women's' Development Center in Darfur. This center provides a safe environment in which women and children that have been victimized by crisis are able to get professional medical and psychological help and support. Relief Beads are assembled at the Women's Center by refugees, and when you buy a Relief Bead bracelet, a portion of the money raised goes to support the center. Relief Beads is also currently raising funds to build a Children's' Malnutrition Center at the second largest refugee camp in Darfur, Zam Zam. * One Relief Bead can: provides one week of food for a malnourished child or two months of education for a child in need. * Eight Relief Beads can: supplies essential medicines to one-hundred refugees. * Twenty-five Relief Beads can: provides health-care for one-hundred refugees. * One-hundred Relief Beads can: saves the lives, of twenty children in need. Julie Lex, Parent and School Council Member — “Koru Fundraising brought out schools' annual fundraiser so much success. I dont think we've ever raised such a large amount of money in such a short amount of time. Our faveourite was the Relief beads fundraiser, because everyone loved how stylish and affordable they were. And of course helping to save Darfur didnt hurt either! We will be sure to use Koru Fundraising for any future fundraisers we need." For more information Contact us by our website or e-mail. # # # About Koru Fundraising: End
