New Book Showcases Vernonia History

Local authors share past of Vernonia through old photographs

Jan. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Nestled in the Upper Nehalem Valley in the foothills of the Oregon Coast Range, Vernonia still reflects its pioneer virtues of hard work and independence.

In the first professionally published pictorial history of Vernonia, volunteers of the Vernonia Pioneer Museum Association use vintage photographs to bring readers on a nostalgic journey down memory lane.

The authors hope that readers will “be struck by the continuing pioneering spirit and resilience of this community.”
