Choosing the right Bid Feeder or Bird House

Watching wild birds visiting our Bird Feeders is a wonderful experience. However choosing the right type of Bird Feeders for the wild birds we want to watch can at times be crucial. Not all Bird Feeders are the same. Then there is the problem with other animals such as squirells and cats that can hinder our bird watching experience. For this reason it is crucial we choose the right Bird Feeders for our back yards.
When choosing bird feeders we want to first evaluate our situations and ask our selves a few questions. Could we have a problem with squirells getting into our Bird Feeders? Do we have cat's in our neighborhood?
Bird Houses
Bird Houses can also be very enjoyable to have however like feeders we must look at a few things before putting up a bird house. There are a variety of bird houses available for a variety of types of birds. For the most part birds like a bird house that has an opening just big enough for the bird to fit through. Bird Houses also need to be placed in a pace that will make the birds feel safe otherwise they will not use them. Sure Bird Houses look great for decoration but the whole point in having Bird Houses is to offer a place for birds to raise baby birds. So again the 2 basic aspects in Bird houses is placement and size. This does sometimes take some trial and error however once a bird begins rasing there young in your bird house many times they will come back year after year.
