On February 5, 2010 author Mansel Philip McCleave will conduct a book signing at McIntyre Books in Fearrington Village, in Pittsboro, North Carolina for his book "Hunger Pains in our Heads". The event is scheduled from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
Rev. McCleave is 83-years old. He is a retired Pastor, and a former teacher, at A&T in Greensboro. He compiled a lifetime of information--
The author desires to inform and educate everyone about facts behind the Sit-In Movement in Greensboro, North Carolina—many of which are either unreported, or not well advertised. The never before told perspective from this Pastor, Teacher, and humble civil rights activist, will open the eyes of many who were not there to experience this time. It is the author’s hope that “years from now, those yet unborn, will read this story, and glean wisdom for their lives”. Hunger Pains in our Heads was written to help us continue a dialogue that has never been completed, and in many cases, never even began. Educators, students, parents, civil rights enthusiasts, and the community at large, is encouraged to attend, and meet the author.
The event begins at 2 pm on Friday, February 5 and will last until 3:00 pm.
McIntyre Books is located at 2000 Fearrington Village Center, Pittsboro, NC 27312. Their phone number is (919) 542-2121.
