The SC Awards Reader Trust finalists were chosen by a panel of security and technology experts from large, medium and small enterprises from all major vertical markets that make up a wide distribution of SC Magazine readers. The Sourcefire 3D System and RNA were selected from more than 600 entries submitted in more than 31 technology categories.
In addition, SC Magazine's editors named Sourcefire their IPS Industry Innovator of 2009. In its December issue, the magazine commended Sourcefire for its move into virtualization, advancements in network intelligence and expansion beyond traditional IPS capabilities.
