Stepping Stone Journals Cancer Organizer
My Personal Journey Through Cancer was created to help patients and caregivers record vital medical information and assist with the day-to-day management of their illness. Now SteppingStone Journals has created an eBook version of this essential medical organizer.
One of the many challenges facing cancer patients and their caregivers is how to effectively track the overwhelming amount of information related to their cancer diagnosis and treatment. The content in this eBook mirrors the information included in the spiral bound printed version of the organizer. SteppingStone Journals founder Susan Thornberg sought to add an eBook version of My Personal Journey Through Cancer to “make the organizer more readily accessible to those battling cancer or any type of medical illness.” Whether given as a gift or purchased by a cancer patient, this new pdf version allows users to print each section of the eBook and place the pages into a three-ring binder. This allows the cancer notebook to be tailored to the user’s needs; additional pages can be printed from the pdf at any time and pages can be added to the sections used most frequently.
Created with input from cancer survivors, medical providers, and devoted caretakers, this cancer organizer contains easy-to-use charts, forms and logs to record and monitor vital medical information from cancer diagnosis through treatment and recovery. Thornberg noted that, “eBook users are encouraged to bring this cancer notebook with them to doctor appointments, hospital visits, radiology and chemotherapy treatments, even trips to the pharmacy.”
Information that can be recorded in this health and medical organizer includes:

- Insurance information

SteppingStone Journals’ Susan Thornberg, a cancer survivor and caregiver herself, developed the prototype for My Personal Journey Through Cancer while caring for her mother who was diagnosed with lung cancer. "I wanted to create a guide that would keep track of my mother's medical information and her daily well being. The peace of mind of having her medical information in one readily accessible place was such a relief for my mother and those caring for her."
