The well-being of these Medicaid patients is significantly dependent upon their providers’ ability to regularly deliver products, thus allowing these patients to be cared for at home, instead of in hospitals or nursing facilities. Further reimbursement cuts would force the healthcare and equipment suppliers to substitute inferior products, eliminate routes, reduce insurance processing service, or go out of business entirely. It is believed that these cuts will ultimately cost the Commonwealth more money due to the negative outcome which would result if this population is denied these supplies.
