The foiled bomb attack in a Delta Airlines aircraft during Christmas has led to a renewed discussion about security at airports and in airplanes.

Exactly at the height of this debate, a technology moves into focus, which will fulfill everyone's expectations. Inexpensive to operate, and easy to use on a large scale, it can reliably detect explosives on persons, inside luggage and vehicles.
Its extensive use by security forces worldwide and recent field tests in the Middle East have demonstrated its high-level functionality, even in outdoor and extreme climatic conditions.
The device named "EXPLONIX" was developed by European scientists and assembled in the EU. The revolutionary technology allows one to "sniff" explosives, together with background sensing for traces of radioactive materials.
Micro particles from the air around the baggage or people are continuously analyzed by the portable device. In case of a positive, an alarm is triggered and the type of explosive identified is displayed. "EXPLONIX" also detects radioactive hazards and is thus able to detect "dirty bombs" or nuclear pollution.
According to the experts at the security and consulting firm "Green Dynamics Ltd"(UAE, Germany), had this technology been used in the case of the "Christmas bombing" in Detroit, or the case involving the Russian citizen Litvinenko (in UK), there would have been a much higher probability of detection and prevention.
Experts estimate the demand for the so-called body scanner to be "huge" and time-consuming to operate, if a huge crowd of passengers has to be checked.
The inventor of this technology, George Blaha, the CEO of "RS DYNAMICS", is expected to give a lecture and address a press conference in mid-January in Dubai, at the invitation of “Green Dynamics”.
