'Tina Hill/Kidzsack Wins Round One on Reality Show Top Entrepreneur’

WEST NEWBURY, Mass. — Tina Hill, an innovator of creative,  eco-friendly toys, announced today that she has participated on the second episode, airing January 20th, on Worcester’s Charter TV3’s “Top Entrepreneur,” a cable reality show in which start-up business owners compete for the Top Entrepreneur spot in front of a panel of business experts. During this episode, Hill was declared the winner and is moving on to the next round.

Tina Hill, president of Kidzsack commented, “I’m very excited to be a part of this new reality show.   With the popularity of Shark Tank, The Big Idea, and people starting up their own businesses, I believe there is a need for reality television that highlights the ups, downs, and success of being an entrepreneur.”  “It was a great experience to meet with the “judges” and get their objective advice as I love getting the opportunity to talk with seasoned business people.  I really look forward to moving on to the next round!”  For each monthly episode, start-up company owners will compete in front of a panel of experts. The panelists —business, financial and marketing experts — hear contestants’ stories, ask questions, and then offer their professional advice.  The expert panel will rate them based on preset rules to determine possible chance for success in three areas: Market appeal, Business potential, and Investment viability.  Monthly winners go on to compete against each other for a grand prize.

Hill, a married mother of four children, has over 12+ years experience in fashion design and is a graduate from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She started Kidzsack in October of 2007. Kidzsack is a line of eco friendly backsacks that are made from 100% recycled fabric, screenprinted with Hill’s own artwork, and packaged with 8 washable non toxic markers. Kids color, wash, and recolor. Kidzsack is a reusable arts and crafts activity that sells in over 150 stores internationally…including big retailers Whole Foods Market and Ron Jon’s Surf Shop.  Hill competed against Eric P. Bloom of Ashland, Mass.  Bloom is also the award winning author of Manager Mechanics: Tips and Advice for First-Time Managers.
