The Law Firm of KALIS & KLEIMAN Participating in American Diabetes Tour de Cure Bike Ride  

Davie, FL – Commercial and Real Estate Attorney M. Scott Kleiman and team of the Law Firm KALIS & KLEIMAN will be participating in the American Diabetes Tour de Cure bike ride on March 7, 2010, leaving from CB Smith Park. The funds raised will support the American Diabetes Association’s research, information and advocacy efforts and its mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

Tour de Cure is a series of fund-raising cycling events held in 43 states nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association. The Tour is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist.

Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into energy needed for daily life. The cause of diabetes continues to be a mystery, although both genetics and environmental factors appear to play roles. There are 23.6 million Americans living with diabetes, a disease that is outpacing heart disease, cancer and AIDS. Diabetes is a disease that has deadly serious consequences, and there is no cure.
