Smart and Chic Gives Back

Jan. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Minneapolis, MN- Smart and Chic, an award winning hair and makeup company, announced today that they will present one high school student from Northeast Metro 916 with a $500 scholarship to attend any cosmetology school.

“We want to give an ambitious individual the opportunity to fully realize his or her true potential,” says Julie Swenson, founder of Smart and Chic.  In order to apply for the scholarship, students at Northeast Metro 916 must submit a completed scholarship application along with a one page personal essay.  The application deadline is March 31st, 2010 and the winner will be notified by mail in May 2010.  Swenson states, “The person we select need not have the strongest practical skills, but instead the strongest character.”
