Israeli Diamond Portal Reports: Diamond Miner Petra Resumes Underground Work at Koffiefontein Mine

Jan. 10, 2010 - PRLog -- Miner Petra Diamonds announced Wednesday that it has resumed underground operations at its Koffiefontein diamond mine in South Africa’s Free State province, Mining Weekly reported.                                

The JSE-listed diamond company suspended all mining activity in Koffiefontein after one worker was killed in what was ruled as an equipment malfunction-related incident.

The matter in still under investigation by both Petra Diamonds and the local Department of Mineral Resources.
