14 year old Tammy Boyd(stage name) is going to try out for "America's Got Talent" for the 2nd time.Two years ago,Tammy and her mother,Marcee tried out for "America's Got Talent" in Atlanta,Georgia.Both got into the 2nd round before they were bumped out.The object is to get to the third round in order to get onto the tv show and present your talent before the tv judges.Two years ago,the verdict for Tammy was that she was not ready vocally and at the age of 12----they were more than likely right.However,Tammy wants to go back and challenge that former verdict now.She will have her chance again on Feb 13-14 in Orlando,Florida.She will be accompanied by her mother,Marcee Lee Boyle(better known as the poet-singer,Marcee Lee Winthrop).Marcee will be auditioning as a singer and plans to sing"Bridge Over Troubled Water".Tammy's selection is a secret as of yet. You can get a sneak peek of their voices along with some of Marcee's poetry on Youtube:marceeleewinthrop.Tammy's favorite things to do when she isn't singing include:anime drawing(another incredible talent) and playing on the computer,especially Meez..Her trademark ,that she wears all the time, is a black hat kind of like Tom Petty's(who is from Gainesville,Florida also).Everyone comments about her hat,they love it.Car horns will beep at her and people will yell out "cool hat!".Some have even taken pictures with their cameras of her and the hat. Tammy's voice is medium to high range.She is able to rearch the notes of opera singers but she prefers to sing pop/rock.She and her mother like to sing a duet "Phantom Of The Opera" in which Marcee sings the lower voice of the Phantom and Tammy sings the female part.The idea for them to try this tune together came around Halloween last year.Marcee and Tammy are big fans of musicals.Good luck!
