Celtic Bank announced today that it has received its fifth U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Utah Lender of the Year award in the small lender category. This year Celtic Bank also received the SBA’s award for being the Top Capline Lender of the Year. Celtic Bank has been providing SBA loans since it first opened in 2001. According to Reese S. Howell Jr., chief executive officer for Celtic Bank, “We are proud to accept these awards, and plan to continue providing SBA financing to the small business community.”
The SBA was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to assist small business concerns. On an annual basis, the SBA honors financial institutions that have demonstrated their commitment to helping small businesses with their financing needs.
