For 2010 KTG is announcing the addition of Drupal Website development to the list of offered services. KTG, which launched at the beginning of 2009 as a small business IT services company, found that many of it's clients were also interested in affordable website services.
KTG's Drupal services started with a few side projects, but Drupal work quickly grew to encompass a significant portion of the revenue for KTG. "Small businesses were very excited with the possible of owning a website that was easy to update and search engine friendly," stated KTG president Jonathan Stoddard
KTG remains committed to open source software and decided to specialize in the open source Drupal content management system. "We liked Drupal because of its extensive user base and long list of add-on modules," said Stoddard.
As an open source content management system, Drupal makes it very easy for a small business to update their website. With a online editor, making site updates, or adding pictures or video is as simple as editing a Microsoft Word document.
When combined with several free add-on modules, Drupal excels at search engine optimization. Stoddard reports, "we saw sites, whose search score would significantly jump, just by moving their website content over to Drupal."
KTG is also committed to providing education to small businesses about technology. With the addition of Drupal development services, KTG will begin uploading tutorials and information to help small business owners run and maintain Drupal on their own.
