Challenging economic times have hit Massachusetts and today’s job market is tough even for those who have solid financial resources. For those without such resources, looking professional for a job interview can be a big hurdle and a lack of appropriate attire is a severe disadvantage. Dress for Success provides free business attire for disadvantaged women looking for work or starting new jobs, as well as mentoring programs, and advice on topics such as networking and how to ask for a raise.
Dress for Success Boston is holding an online auction through Bidding for Good, Inc (http://www.biddingforgood.com). The auction will be open until February 5, 2010, with proceeds going to Dress for Success Boston in order to support their mission of promoting the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
In support of Dress for Success Boston, Personal Focus Coaching has donated three management coaching sessions – a $450 value – to be sold at the auction. These sessions can be used by the highest bidder or donated to a Dress for Success Boston client. This unique coaching program is designed to build effective leadership skills and to support individuals as they transition into new positions.
Coaching provides tangible benefits to individuals and organizations through the development of targeted competencies such as leadership, communication and time management skills.
