The New Jersey-based fashion label “Stacey Angela” used both 3-D Barber Shop and Styles with Grace Beauty Salon as the backdrop for the photo shoot.
The intent was to create looks that were hard yet soft for this season’s capsule collection. Models Hugh Anderson, Meisha-Gaye, Marie Raxakoul and Ilonya Chernova stretched and climbed all over the shops to stand out against the colorful and busy setting crowded by clients and crew.
The collection features striking metallics, traditional vibrant hues and subtle browns Brazilian cut swimwear, denim skirts as well as her popular crochet and lace earrings and a dramatic oversized denim hat. This season will also debut the collection of new unisex bow ties.
Stacey Angela says her collections are an eclectic combination mixed with sass and grit. “I didn’t want the shoot to be too matchy matchy. I wanted the models to be really soft against the contrast of the environment and the weather outside inspired me more because the elements were against us.”
The shoot was supported by newcomer fashion stylist, Kiki Hunter who worked along side freelance MAC make-up artist Michelle Stevens and Styles Grace Beauty Salon hair stylists, Danielle Baker and Gary Jones. Vintage clothing courtesy of House of Le’ Moore.
On January 22nd these fashions will be available for purchase on StaceyAngela.com and in various boutiques throughout the country. Visit StaceyAngela.com to find the nearest boutique to you.
Additional photographs and behind the scenes footage from the photo shoot will be available on StaceyAngela.com
