2010 Uptick in Foreclosure Serves Predicted at Northshore Process Service

Process serving chain reports escalation of foreclosure notices seems likely into 2010

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan 06, 2010 -
New York, NY – Northshore Process Service served another record number of foreclosure notices in November and December, 2009. The recent uptick accounted for 28 percent of all the chain’s eligible documents served for the same time period.

NPS estimates it will serve more foreclosure notices throughout 2010. The company attributes this latest wave of notices to job losses and layoffs nationwide as opposed to the subprime mortgage meltdown.

“While the December data provide some insight, foreclosures continue to be a concern in the process serving market,” said NPS Network Analyst Christopher LaRocca. “Due to unemployment and other economic factors, homeowners continue to have high rates of delinquency on their mortgages, which eventually leads to the initiation of foreclosure proceedings.”
