Clever Ducks, being a member of CompTIA's IT community, is pleased to learn that the generous donations will be continuing for the next five years. The past two years of donations have led to the education of more than 1,1000 individuals for potential careers in information technology, by offering IT-related scholarships to those in need.
CompTIA works with employers to determine their hiring needs, creates training programs to fit them, and offers this education to those who are often overlooked. In 2009, the foundation helped 13,200 individuals receive tech career counseling, 825 individuals train for an IT career, 554 military and disabled veterans receive IT training, 528 women and minorities receive IT training, 344 individuals in need achieve CompTIA certification, 168 dislocated individuals receive IT training, 45 Non-military individuals with disabilities receive IT training, and 24 Youth-at-risk receive IT training.
Clever Ducks is proud to be a part of a community so dedicated to improving the chance of success for those who are often overlooked in the IT workforce.
