World Concepts, Inc. Adds Full Sentence Foreign Language Translation For Symbian Smartphones

(WCI) announces the availability of free-form, full sentence foreign language translation software for smartphones with Symbian OS v9.3 (3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2).  The software download is available for purchase on various internet sites (i.e., Ovi store, Mobihand, Handango, Handster, Windows Mobile apps, etc.). The following language packs are available: Spanish to/from English, French to/from English, German to/from English at a cost of $9.95 or all four languages (in which the user can translate between any two languages) at a cost of $19.95.  All languages include dictionaries containing over 25,000 words and phrases.

The Symbian version of WCI’s translation software complements WCI’s software products already available for Windows Mobile 6.x / 5.0, Pocket PC 2003 and the Desktop.  Future releases are planned for the iPhone and Android.  The WCI Translation software is one of the only—if not the only—free-form translator for mobile devices that does not require an Internet connection.  It is significant to point out that this software translation capability cost hundreds of dollars just a few years ago.
