WASHINGTON, D.C. - HillCo HEALTH, a leading policy and strategic advisory firm, today announced that Alissa Williams Pereira, Managing Director, will participate and attend the 28th Annual JP Morgan Healthcare Conference.
Alissa Williams Pereira is a policy and reimbursement expert that advises a number of healthcare companies and investment firms on coverage, coding, payment, and valuations. Marc Samuels, President of HillCo HEALTH, says of Alissa, “Alissa has been working in the healthcare industry for the past five years, focusing on healthcare policy and reimbursement, especially in healthcare reform.” Alissa serves as a Managing Director, providing expertise and in-depth analysis of healthcare reform, comparative effectiveness, and federal coverage and reimbursement.
Prior to joining HillCo HEALTH, Alissa was a Legislative Analyst for Schering-Plough Corporation, a global science-based healthcare company with leading prescription, consumer, and animal health products. At Schering-Plough, Alissa conducted background research, prepared talking points, and developed company policy statements on a range of health policy and reimbursement issues, including Medicare, Medicare Part D, Medicaid and commercial reimbursement and reform, global access to medicines, women’s health, and intellectual property. During her tenure, Alissa advised, represented and staffed several of the company’s business units and assisted in the Congressional and agency relations functions of the Washington, DC office.
While at Schering-Plough, Alissa completed her Masters Degree in Public Health at the George Washington University, specializing in health policy. Her coursework included a culminating thesis on developing a third, behind-the-counter class of drugs in the United States. Alissa also holds a B.A. with honors in Middle Eastern Studies, and speaks both French and Modern Standard Arabic.
