a.   Utah state law requires that each car insurance policy in the state of Utah carries a minimum of 3,000 dollars in medical payment coverage.  This means that every person in a car involved in an accident has 3,000 dollars for evaluation and treatment of injuries.

3.   The evaluation and any treatment you receive will NOT raise your premium.
a.   Utah state law also states that the medical payments made as the result of the car accident are not included in premium calculations.  This means that whether you use all or none of your medical payments your premium remains unchanged.

a.   Often injured tissues swell slowly as a result the swelling may not be severe enough to cause you pain until a week or more has passed.  This is both common and normal.

a.   According to the Utah state law car accident victims have one year to claim and receive care for their injuries.
