Camp Bow Wow® Delaware North invites friends and neighbors to join them for a Grand Opening kick-off party: The Dog Bowl Games on Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 10am to 2pm. The upscale Doggy Day and Overnight Camp at 301 Ruthar Drive, just of I-95 between Christiana Hospital and the University of Delaware, has covered all the bases to guarantee a howling good time for families and their furry family members. Take home a memory with a pup-trait taken by photographer John Lewis, or make a donation to the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation, which supports animal rescue and canine cancer research. Pups can enjoy naturally delicious puppy treats from Waggies by Maggie & Friends, lovingly baked in Wilmington by a group of persons with intellectual disabilities;
Puppy parents can also tour the Camp and register for door prizes while their children enjoy doggy art activities and meet Scout, the Camp Bow Wow mascot. Hungry humans can satisfy their cravings with pizza provided by Bianco’s Pizza. WSTW FM, 93.7 will broadcast live from the festivities from 11am to 1pm with DJ Mike Rossi as master of ceremonies.
What would a grand opening at Camp Bow Wow be without the dogs? So if you’d like to bring yours and he or she hasn’t been to Camp yet, please call. Since all the fun will be indoors we will need all dogs registered before they can enter the building, registration is quick and easy. Just call camp with your dog’s name and vet information.

All campers at Camp Bow Wow are supervised by a staff of Certified Camp Counselors® trained in pet CPR and first aid, dog behavior, safety and health management. To ensure the happiness and safety of all campers, the camps are staffed with 1 counselor for every 15 campers at all times. Proud puppy parents can look in on their campers by logging on to the Camp Bow Wow Delaware North website to watch the real-time activities in the play yards broadcast by one of the many Camper Cams® installed around the camps.
All campers are required to participate in a free interview day before they can attend day or overnight camp. Canine campers must be neutered or spayed if over 6-months old, up to date on their rabies and distemper vaccinations, have had a Bordetella (canine cough) vaccination within the last six months, and be in good general health.
