As an annual tribute to Martin Luther King Jr.’s constant effort towards equality for all, AmeriCorps members are volunteering during a day many take off. The day’s events focus on the importance of King’s contributions and how service reminds us how similar we all are.
In addition to the two projects, members are contributing extra by donating winter clothing items to World Relief and canned food items to the Ronald McDonald House pantry. For more information on MLK Day service projects visit www.mlkday.gov.
