Patents.com Releases Updated Website with Enhanced Patent Community

Patents.com rings in 2010 with a new user interface that connects the global Patent Community

Jan. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Patents.com, the world's most dynamic patent search website has added new features and an improved and cleaner user interface.  Users can conduct simple or advanced patent searches, obtain PDF copies of any one of our twelve million patents, and find inventors, patent attorneys, and patent owners, while adding six new features including: member to member messaging, enhanced profiles, user blogs, article postings, event postings, and forums.

“The Patents.com upgrade is about both form and substance.  The site has numerous upgrades and added features which will provide an opportunity to engage with members of the global patent community in new and exciting ways”, said Paul Ratcliffe, CEO of Patents.com.

The enhanced Patents Community (http://www.patents.com/patentscommunity/) enables our 50,000 registered users to provide detailed profiles, receive and send communications, and interact with peers throughout the Patents Community.  The new Patent Articles feature provides each user a voice to inform the entire Patent Community about important news, announcements, and events. Members can create their own Patent blog (http://www.patents.com/patentscommunity/blogs/) using the built-in editor.  Users can upload attachments, images, and embed videos to highlight the user’s thoughts, activities, patents, and technologies. Additional features include event postings, invitations, and notification and tracking of who is coming to your event.

“It is amazing how far we have come in two short years,” said Rob Monster, Chairman of Patents.com, “We have twelve million patents available for registered users today, but are looking to grow this number at an accelerated pace over the next two years.  We want to make patents freely available from around the world in the major languages to simplify the patent discovery process and provide value to our members.”

Looking ahead to the rest of 2010, Patents is working to bring an unparalleled pace of innovation as Patents.com continues to build the world’s leading online destination for all things related to Patents.
