In solidarity with AIDS Awareness Month this December 2009, the Center for Car Donations was able to make arrangements to help bring the cause of the Shanti Orange County organization to light. The Center is an innovative charitable organization that helps other organizations to solicit funds in a very unique way. Instead of asking for cash outright, the center allows philanthropic motorists to donate their old motor vehicles. Interested parties can donate practically any engine-powered personal vehicle, including boats, trucks, motorcycles, farm equipment, jet skis, snowmobiles and more.
For the month of December, the organization was able to place a large and prominent link on their website that directs Web browsers to information about the Shanti Orange County organization, a non-profit organization that provides life-enhancing supportive services to individuals living with HIV or AIDS.
Shanti offers case management, psychological services, home-delivered meals, wellness education and complementary therapies to those who need them. They also provide volunteer opportunities, hold events, and of course, accept charity donations from those who want to help their cause.
