Phuket, Thailand – “Bill Bensley’s 10 miner sculptures” are on exhibit at the lobby of Indigo Pearl resort to show the guests and public a series of workers who portray the historic legend of Phuket’s mining industry. Each of the sculptures has a unique characteristic symbolizing each of their occupations. These exhibits will be a reminder for the next generation the work and culture of their ancestors. They are available to make a bid at the resort’s front desk and through online auctions since December 23rd, 2009. All of the auction’s proceeds will benefit Phuket Sunshine Village Orphanage.
These sculptures are available to view online at http://www.indigo-
Bids will close on Sunday February 28, 2010, at 6:00pm local time.
The auction winners will be informed via email and an announcement will be made online on the resort website.
”Bill Bensley is the creator of Indigo Pearl Resort and this auction is to help the children who were affected by Tsunami in 4 southern Thai provinces and therefore we are proud to present the unique miner sculptures that have been built to help the children,” said Arnaud Girodon, General Manager.
“This will be an opportunity where everyone can show their support and we are honored to be a part of it,” said David Ippersiel, Executive Assistant Manager and I/C Sales and Marketing.
