The versatile OWL400/410 not only can be used as a high-throughput, long-range wireless bridge or function as a high-speed 11n access point, but also brings a wireless last-mile solution to Internet service providers when operating in CPE mode. Like other members of 4ipnet Access Point family, both OWL400 and 410 are remotely manageable by the WHG-series Controllers.
Specifically developed for outdoor use, the fully-hardened OWL400 and OWL410 save additional costs of installing network cable or fiber, and are industrial-grade weatherproof, watertight and rust-resistant for harsh environments. Both are equipped with business-class security (802.1X, WEP, WPA/WPA2, AES over WDS) for enterprise networks and capable of supporting a variety of carrier applications. Furthermore, the multiple-ESSID capability enables OWL400/410 to perform as multiple virtual access points (VAPs), which allows for segmenting a corporate network by VLANs (up to 7) to protect critical resources.
