Caminar Expands Its Board Of Directors

Caminar, a nonprofit agency providing community based support for people with disabilities, announced today that it has elected four new members to its Board of Directors; Jennifer C. Johnson, Esq., Eren Niazi, Mike Stimson and Ted Stinson.

Caminar, a nonprofit agency providing community based support for people with disabilities, announced today the election of Jennifer C.  Johnson, Esq., Mike Stimson, Eren Niazi and Ted Stinson to its Board of Directors.

“We are pleased to announce the expansion of Caminar’s Board of Directors to include four new members adding to the diverse talents of our current board.  Their professional expertise, interest and related experience in community based nonprofits are welcomed and appreciated as we continue to develop our programs and services. We look forward to their individual and collective contributions to help further the mission of Caminar in our efforts to serve individuals with disabilities," speaking on behalf of the entire Board, Caminar Board President Michael Paolercio stated.

Jennifer C. Johnson, Esq., is an attorney specializing in bankruptcy and real estate matters at Carr McClellan, Ingersoll, Thompson & Horn, a law firm that has a long-standing tradition of community and professional service.  She received her Juris Doctorate at University of California, Los Angeles and her B.A. degree, summa cum laude at University of San Diego, Phi Beta Kappa. She is a member of the San Mateo and San Francisco Bar Associations, and a member of the State Bar Association of California. As an active community member, Ms. Johnson serves on the Second Harvest Food Bank’s Program and Services Committee in addition to her new position on Caminar’s Board of Directors.  She currently resides with her family in San Carlos.

Ted Stinson is a Vice President, Americas Sales at Symantec responsible for the specialist sales and system engineering organizations. His professional experience with a number of leading Silicon Valley technology companies is complemented by his commitment to community engagement with a focus on mental health and education.  Stinson has served as the Chair of the San Francisco Mental Health Board and as a Board Member of Community Vocational Enterprises in San Francisco.  Stinson holds an MBA from Stanford University, and a BA in Economics from the University of Notre Dame.  He lives with his family in Menlo Park.

Mike Stimson, a Certified Public Accountant since 1971, has held numerous Executive Finance and Accounting positions his career, having recently retired in 2008.  His work experience has spanned a variety of public corporations including ITEL, Kaiser, Aetna, Transamerica and Santa Fe Southern Pacific Railroads. A graduate of Seattle University, with a degree in accounting and economics, Stimson spent three years as an officer in the Navy.  He obtained a Masters Degree in Taxation at Golden Gate University in San Francisco in 1975.  A very active community member, Mr. Stimson has served on the Board as Treasurer of Big Brother/Big Sisters of the Peninsula, from 1982-85, a member of the Board of Directors, The Rotary Club of San Mateo 1986-88, Board Treasurer of Rotary Haciendas 1988-92, and since 2004 he has been Board Treasurer of NAMI, (National Association Mentally Ill), in San Mateo.  Mr. Stimson and his wife live in San Mateo.

Eren Niazi is a successful serial entrepreneur. He is a co-founder of Open Source Systems and is a technology expert. Mr. Niazi is recognized for his expertise in business and organizational leadership and development, management efficiencies, start-up and growth management. Committed to engaging in community outreach, Mr. Niazi is an original Open Source, Evangelist & Pioneer. He currently lives in Santa Clara County.
