Free Artist Directory Site Links Artistsinoils.com
Since it's launch in November of 2009, AIO (Artistsinoils.com)
Hundreds of artists have added links to their art gallery websites in the directory, taking advantage of the extensive (400word) freeform text description space, photo / logo picture space and freeform anchor text links provided at no charge for every directory listing. Art teachers, art clubs and galleries are also listed in the directory for free.
The sponsor of the site, when asked about the business model for Artistsinoils.com said "Our reasons for running this site are entirely altruistic. 1 - We spent a lot of time finding the free directories and wanted to share our work. 2 - We like to do what we can to support art / artists. 3 - And the good part...we enjoy watching the new listings come on board as a kind of permanent self-propelling exhibition."
The latest promotion features for artists include syndication of new website listings when they are added at http://www.artistsinoils.com. Syndication takes the information entered once by the artist in their website listing and sends it out on the World Wide Web as an RSS news feed, "tweets" the new listing on Twitter and posts the listing on art related blogs (artistsinoils-
"Syndication across social media platforms like Twitter and Blogs has become an imperative for business visibility, but Artists should be painting not blogging" says the site sponsor. "We are doing what we can to give artists as much exposure as we can with as little effort as possible and without any cost. It's hard enough to make art without having to pay time and money to promote your work".
