St. Louis, MO, USA January, 2010 – United States Senator Bill Nelson of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has congratulated iCARD Gift Card LLC on a contract renewal with a Department of Energy entity and alerted the company that it has been awarded the department’s coveted Recognition Award.
“The award capped off a very successful year for our company,” said iCARD Systems Founder Jeff Ehney. “Despite the poor economy, we were able to capitalize on increased use of gift cards for employee recognition, sales incentives, corporate gifts, product rebates, and consumer promotions.”
“In fact, the poor economy probably helped us,” said Ehney. “In April, 2009, we acquired another gift card business that gave us additional gift card solutions and technology that makes large orders easy for companies to administrate,”
iCARD Gift Card LLC provides prepaid Visa cards, an emailable gift card, and more than 150 top merchant gift cards to companies that use them for gifts, incentives, promotions and rebates. iCARD has employees in Fort Lauderdale, St. Louis, Kansas City, and Los Angeles.
In the notification letter, Senator Bill Nelson said, “Small businesses are at the foundation of the American economy. Small business owners like you keep our citizens employed and provide invaluable services to our communities.”
