By: Kat Dibbits Now Kat has introduced quirky asymmetrical earrings into her range - and says she has been overwhelmed by demand for them. "I thought I would make a couple of pairs just to see whether they would be popular," says the 27 year-old designer from Lancashire. "They sold out almost immediately. I've made more, but not too many - I want to stay with the ethos of each piece being different." That means that if you've been taken by the ballet-inspired "Tiny Dancer" earrings (http://www.folksy.com/ Kat's designs are also eco-friendly - she uses vintage jewellery that has been damaged or discarded, painstakingly repairs it and turns it into the fabulous new pieces. With upcycling becoming another massive trend this year, Made With Love goes to show that recycling doesn't mean you have to ditch the glamour. Made With Love is available online from www.folksy.com/ Note to editors: Hi-res jpegs are available - email made_with_love@ Kat is available for interview. # # # I turn broken and unloved vintage jewellery into fabulous, unique new pieces using gorgeous chain, stones, pearls, buttons and ribbon. My pieces are complete one-offs, which means you will never see anyone wearing the same item! End
