Marco and the team at Min-Sheng Hospital six months later
Recently in China to attend an international trade fair, Dutch patient Marco d.L. flew to Taiwan’s Min-Sheng Hospital for a follow-up visit. Mr. d.L. underwent a mini gastric-bypass procedure in April 2009 at Min-Sheng Hospital, and was very keen to show his “new figure” to his surgeon, Professor Lee Wei-Jie, and the staff at the hospital.
The routine check-up revealed that Mr. d.L. had recovered wonderfully, and that his weight loss surgery had been a great success. Weighing 150 kilos before the procedure, Marco has since lost nearly 60 kilos and now weights 91 kilos. ”I have to spend a lot of money for new clothes that fit me lately” says Marco with a big smile.
Mr. d.L. is one of a growing number of foreign patients who travel to Taiwan’s Min-Sheng Hospital for bariatric surgery, attracted by the skills and international reputation of Professor Lee and his team in the field of weight loss surgery.
