AMB's Hip-Hop rap works is a far cry from the image-driven gangster rappers of his decade. He prides the nature of his works, as a representation and definition of his rare style as a musical hip-hop rap artist. “I pull from my soul to create and perform my music, ensuring the delivery of my creation hits home, whether it’s being viewed as positive or negative, is based on the true testament of my well being. I am one of the more astute, low-profile, soulful brothers of the hip-hop underground industry.”
A.M.B. (Anonymous Machedy Blade) was born Giovanni Cooper, in his hometown of Roxbury, Boston, Massachusetts, where he currently resides. He emerged on the Boston rap scene in the early 1990’s. The early mastery of his craft within the Hip-Hop Rap game involved getting his message across through songs and being able to sing about his experiences to numerous audiences.
His works are influenced by some of the great heavyweights within his genre of rap music, such as Nas, Rakim, Talib Kweli and Jay Z. He is blessed with the clarity of utilizing his speedy rapping and rhyming ability to exhibit his never-ending gift of wordplay. Inspired by his first love of rap, A.M.B. has produced a variety of ‘Solo Mixtape Albums’ of his works and have been released August, 2003 to 2009
His ‘Rap Sheet’ has been able to produce a lists of performance headlines event happenings of various locations within the Boston area, such as, Fisher College, Bentley College, Mt Ida College, Bourbon Street Pub, Slades Nightclub, Milly's Tavern and Showtime at the Apollo (the Boston edition). His musical accomplishments, has produced additional crossover-records with Reggae tone Artist - El Chombo, Mr. Saik & Leo for the Single/Video, “Quiero Dem Bow.”
He has most recently self-produced and released, “The Introduction Street Album and True Colors.” He has hailed the two (2) Albums as one of the most important hip-hop releases of the year, but his finest work is yet to come. He is currently working on The Lost Songs of A.M.B. Vol. 1/Solo Mixtape of Unreleased Songs and his third upcoming Album scheduled to be released in the Spring of 2010. The writing, producing and vocal representation of his musical works is a true representation of his emcee skills as a seasoned Hip-Hop Rap artist.
