January 4, 2010- Girls Incorporated of Southwestern Connecticut is proud to announce the third in a series of workshops sponsored by the Newman’s Own Foundation. “Growing Together” a workshop for girls ages 9-12 and their mothers/female caregivers is designed to open lines of communication and establish good communication skills about subjects such as health, hygiene, anatomy and puberty. These fun and interactive workshops not only supports parents and daughters with communication but also ensures that they keep talking throughout the challenging years of adolescence.

The Girls Inc. Growing Together Program is made possible through a $5,000 grant from Newman’s Own Foundation. Girls Inc of Southwestern Connecticut will deliver six of these workshops to girls and their parents/female caregivers throughout Connecticut in Stamford, Greenwich, Norwalk, Bridgeport, Watertown and Prospect.
